After over a year of singing quietly to ourselves into our keyboards and computer monitors, we are finally beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel and are overjoyed to be singing together in-person. As it says in the lyrics of the song from which our concert takes its name, “We travel through the darkness and through the night, seeking light.”
During this outdoor concert, we will share songs with hopeful messages, including choral favorites like Ola Gjeilo’s “Ubi Caritas” and “Wanting Memories” by Sweet Honey in the Rock, as well as poignant new compositions like Alysia Lee’s “Say Her Name,” and Marques A. Garrett’s “Sing Out, My Soul.”
Trexler Courtyard is located outside Trexler Student Center on the campus of Queens University. Bring your own lawn chair to enjoy!
